Compound VS Compound & Recurve VS Recurve.

Who: Any person with little prior archery experience and up.
Location: Held at Outpost Range Indoor Archery Range.
-2930 South Cauthen Pt. Lecanto, Fl. 34461.
Dates: Starting April 27, 2023 for 5 weeks. (27, 4, 11, 18, 25)
Times: Thursday Nights 6- 8 pm.
Duration: 2 hours
Participants: A maximum of 32 shooters.
Age: 8 Youth to Adult.
Fee: $40.00 one-time fee per person to join this league competition.
Equipment: -Bring your own with minimum of 3 arrows and have an Outpost Range Card.
Divisions: Compound vs. Compound, Recurve vs. Recurve.
-Divisions Grouped: Youth 8- 17 and Adult 18 up.
Distance: 20 yards, optional 10 yard for young youth. (Traditional 18 and 9 meters distance).
Scoring: Shooter is scored out of a possible 300 points and possible 30 x’s.

Competition Rules –

1. 5-week program, minimum of 4 weeks scoring required for the grand prizes and Bragging Rights.
2. Shooter may either drop their lowest score from all 5 weeks or not attend one week.
3. Shooter will fire 3 arrows within a 2 minute timespan per end, for a total of 10 ends.
4. After 5 ends the shooters take a 15-minute break.
5. When shooting the three-spot target, archers can shoot at each spot in any order. However, they cannot shoot more than one arrow per spot. Any unfired arrows would be counted as zero points.
-Recurve shooters are given a bullseye target.
6. See image on back of the score sheet for scoring points.
– An arrow touching the line marking the edge of a greater scoring area shall be given the higher score.
7. A Shooter is scored out of a possible 300 points and possible 30 x’s.
-X rings are counted for tie breakers.
8. After each round, shooters will use the buddy scoring system with the person next to them. Each buddy would score the others then return the score sheet to the original shooter. At the end of each night shooters will turn in their score sheet to the RSO’s where final score is recorded.
-It is the responsibility of the shooter to verify their score is correct.
9. At the end of 5 weeks, the shooter with highest total score will be chosen as winner.
10. Shooters may show up 20 minutes early to practice.
11. Shooters must straddle line and have one foot touching back of the firing line.
12. If more than 16 shooters, line 1 shoots the top targets, while line 2 shoots the bottom targets.
13. If an arrow is dropped before the marked dropped arrow line it may be reshot after the two minute time is complete. The RSO will make the line safe before doing so. If the shot is past the ten-foot drop line it will be counted as a zero.
14. Shooters are reminded this is a family friendly competition and there will be zero tolerance for any foul play, horseplay, belligerence, or poor attitude. Be Happy, Safe and Have Fun.
