Taught by a Retired Green Beret, our Defensive Rifle Tactics Workshop is a complete guide for anyone interested in learning defensive or competition style shooting fundamentals with a rifle. This workshop is split into two parts, Morning and Afternoon. During the Morning session, cover the basics including form, technique, and proper posture for rifle shooting in a tactical setting. Proper form and technique for Presentation, Target acquisition, Threat assessment, and engagement. We also discuss proper sight alignment, sight picture, clearing near and far, follow through & procedure for clearing stoppages & the basics of mag changes.
After a lunch break, continue onto part two where shooters will learn Rifle Engagement of multiple targets, Rifle Engagement of multiple targets while moving, mag changes for weapon systems, emergency & tac mag, engagement from Cover and utilizing loop holes with barricades from standing and alt. firing positions. We review proper carry and setup for Tactical purposes. Learn how to acquire and engage multiple threats while moving and utilizing cover and concealment with a rifle for close, final engagements and threat clearance. Then review proper threat assessment (near/far threat) and engage appropriately. After shooting we discuss battle belt set ups, gear placement on battle belt/belt/rack system, some ins and outs of mag placement and other tips and tricks.
